The process was time-consuming and prone to errors, making it difficult for higher leadership to make informed business decisions. Additionally, the lack of real-time data made it challenging to track revenue and orders by business unit/program, region, and marketing channel.

To address these challenges, Thermo Fisher needed a solution that would automate the KPI calculation process and provide real-time insights into revenue and order metrics.

I as a Data Analyst developed a custom KPI dashboard that automated the calculation of real time key metrics like web revenue, orders MQO form completions, year-to-date (YTD), year-over-year (YoY), last week, week-over-week (WoW), revenue by business unit/program, revenue by region, and revenue by last touch marketing channel for multiple departments. The dashboard also provided insights into orders by business unit/program.

The automation of key metric calculations has saved time and reduced the potential for human errors. The real-time nature of these metrics ensures that decision-makers have access to up-to-date information to make informed choices.

The inclusion of order information by business unit/program provides additional visibility into the performance and demand of specific products or services. This allows for better inventory management, resource planning, and understanding of customer preferences.

PS: Changed the data set to adhere to company privacy policy.
