Problem

I acted as the VP of Metaverse Development (May-Dec 2023), at Third Academy, a Web3 educational community platform. I directed a team in building over 8 metaverse worlds, with currently over 70K member participants. However, we faced a lack of a dedicated space for women's organizations to co-work, network, and build a stronger community. We wanted to create a space accessible to all women and provide them with the resources they need to succeed in their respective fields.

Additionally, we wanted to incorporate new technologies like Web3 and AI to create an innovative and interactive user experience. We also needed to ensure that the space was scalable and could accommodate multiple women's groups.

Solution

To address these challenges, we designed The Hive - a nature-dome world in the Thirdverse. The Hive serves as a hub for women's organizations to co-work, network, and build a stronger community. Our team utilized Web3 technology to create an immersive experience that is accessible from anywhere in the world.

In addition to providing co-working spaces, we built a classroom and lounge area for Mission Impact Academy's Global AI Leadership Program's art exhibit, and graduation ceremony from their first AI cohort 6-week intensive program. The class participants used AI to generate images and portfolios that will be displayed in the metaverse world as an AI art exhibit. This exhibit highlights the achievements and new skills of members while making the metaverse look like a place for empowerment and growth.
