Our team was tasked with improving the information architecture (IA) of a client's website. The current IA was confusing and made it difficult for users to find what they were looking for, resulting in high bounce rates and low engagement.

After conducting user research and analyzing the website's analytics, we discovered that the main issue was a lack of organization and clear labeling of content. Users were unsure where to click and often ended up on irrelevant pages.

Solution

We began by creating a new IA map that focused on organizing content into clear categories and subcategories. We also worked on creating intuitive labels that accurately described each page's contents.

To test our new IA, we conducted usability testing with real users. Based on their feedback, we made further adjustments to improve navigation and labeling until we achieved a seamless user experience.
