Project

The Royal Canadian Mint | Virtual Museum | WebXR

About This Project

In an innovative partnership, Eat It Up Media and Media Experts, with the technical collaboration of Aircards, proudly introduce an immersive digital experience to celebrate the Royal Canadian Mint’s release of the Alexander Graham Bell commemorative circulation coin. This project, deployed for both desktop and mobile platforms, utilizes immersive 360 WebXR technology to bring history and innovation to life in a virtual museum dedicated to Bell’s legacy.

Accessible via https://www.rcmintverse.ca/, the Mintverse invites participants to explore two meticulously designed rooms: The Sound Room and The Transportation Room. Each space is dedicated to showcasing 3D models of Bell’s groundbreaking inventions, complete with narratives that detail the stories behind these monumental achievements. Central to this experience is the newly minted Bell coin, which is featured prominently within the virtual environment.

Participants can navigate the rooms seamlessly, using a joystick functionality on devices with keyboards and mouse or through intuitive hotspots, making the journey through Bell’s innovations as educational as it is engaging. The experience is optimized for a variety of devices.
